The BMW iPod Interface Adapter kit includes 2 wiring harnesses and an interface box. The interface is connected to the back of the radio and a cable runs into the glove box of the vehicle. The connector located in the glove box connects to the iPod and charges the unit while connected if the vehicle is running. Note: This devise cannot be used in conjunction with the 6-disc CD Changer and/or SIRIUS Satellite Radio. This adapter is compatible with 3rd, 4th, and 5th generation iPods, iPod mini and iPod nano with the docking connector, which must be updated with the latest software version. Not compatible with the iPod Shuffle.
